Once you have the chip number, use the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool at petmicrochiplookup.org — it searches all participating registries at once. If your pet is registered, it returns the registry name and 24/7 toll-free hotline.

My pet is missing. What do I do?

What's the difference between a microchip and a GPS tracker?

A microchip is permanent ID — no battery, no GPS, no real-time tracking. It identifies your pet when scanned by a vet or shelter. A GPS tracker is a separate device on a collar that tracks location in real time, but it can fall off, run out of battery, or break. Most vets recommend both: a chip for permanent ID and a tracker for active location. We sell chips, not trackers.
